China is willing to offer help if North Korea seeks development, but we continue to push for denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, Wang Yi, Chinese Foreign Minister, told the Global Times at a press conference on the sidelines of the National People's Congress annual session on March 8.

"Only denuclearization can bring peace, only dialogue can provide a way out, and only cooperation can bring win-win results," said the Foreign Minister.

Resolution 2270 must be implemented in its entirety. Sanctions on North Korea are a necessity, maintaining stability is a priority, and negotiation is the foundation, said Wang.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ordered his country to be ready to use its nuclear weapons at any time and the military to be in "pre-emptive attack" mode in the face of growing threats from its enemies, North Korea's official KCNA news agency reported March 4.

On March 2, China supported the UN Security Council's sanction on North Korea to prevent the country from developing nuclear and ballistic missiles, after which North Korea fired six short-range projectiles in a show of force.
