Foreigners charm China

Eleven foreigners received the "You Bring Charm to China" award Sunday for their contributions to China, at a ceremony organized by Tianjin TV and Phoenix TV.

This year, recipients include  French photographer Yann Layma, Richard Sears, who has made great efforts to make Chinese character etymology information available online, Nicholas Smith OBE, artistic director of Peking Sinfonietta, and Ed Jocelyn, who retraced the route of the Long March, as well as others in the cultural field. George Hatem, known as Ma Haide, will recieve a posthumous award for his medical work.
