"The country that is left out of a military drill is usually its target. This time, China is the only one excluded around the South China Sea."

on the US' emphasis that the ongoing Cobra Gold military drill in the Asia-Pacific region is routine and not targeted at any country, quoted by chinanews.com yesterday.



"It is a little too eager for quick success and instant profit. Usually, it takes at least two or three decades to build an international tourism island."

Wang Jianmin, a research fellow with the Tourism Research Center, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,

on Hainan Province's goal to build an international tourism island in 10 years, quoted by The Beijing News yesterday.
