Mulan Tianchi

Mulan Tianchi (Heavenly Pool) lies at the stone gate at the north part of the Huangpi region. It is 55 kilometers away from downtown Wuhan, Hebei Province and 45 kilometers from the Tianhe airport. The whole scenic area is divided into a landscape visiting area and a leisure amusement area.

It is said at local residences that the Fengyu (Wind and Rain) Cave was the place where Mulan's parents met and fell in love with each other.  There is also “Squashing Valley Rock” where lovers exchange vows and “Lock of True Love” where lovers express their will to have a long and happy life together.

It is taught that during the Chinese Valentine's Day, the Mulan Tianchi area has various interactive games for lovers, such as antiphonal singing on boats and a lover's cable car that runs high above the water. At night, a big campfire party is held. Single people can also bravely confess their love before the public.

The Legend of Mulan: Mulan was born into a military family in the 7th Century. At the time when she grew up, a northern tribe had been invading the border of the country. Although Mulan's father was old then, he was still enlisted in the imperial army. Mulan was deeply worried that her father would not return home alive, so she managed to dress up like a man and set out on the frontier in place of her father. After 12 years of fierce battle, Mulan succeeded in repelling the tribe forces and kept them off her country.
