Peach trees always blossom in spring and are harvested in summer and fall; however, there is a peach tree that blooms and bears fruit simultaneously all year round in a Taoist Temple in Kunming, Yunnan Province.

Many people have visited the temple to enjoy the strange scene, with peaches as big as human fists and blooming flowers covering the four-meter-tall tree.

"Starting in 2010, this 12-year-old peach tree began to blossom ceaselessly," said the Taoist bishop of the temple.

Experts at the Dongchuan Forest Bureau said it may be related to water, fertility and other factors like soil quality.

"It's hard to say if this kind of thing has happened elsewhere, as most peach trees don't achieve such fame," said Professor Ma Huancheng of Southwest Forestry University in Kunming. "It may have something to do with climate change."
