Beijing Jinyu claimed their first title of the Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) here on Tuesday when they beat Zhejiang Chouzhou 89-84 to make a clean sweep in the best-of-five finals.

American Nick Annask scored game-high 24 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to gift Beijing Jinyu the crucial win.

"It's gereat for me to win the title when I played the WCBA for the first time," said Annask, who scored and rebounded most in a game since the play-offs.

"I didn't think we would win the title before the season. I just wanted to help the team and do my work every game. Today, I tried my best firstly in defense and rebounding," Annask added.

Katharen Ruth Feenstra, also from the Uninted States, led Zhejiang with 21 points and 9 rebounds, but that figures were her lowest ones in all 10 of the play-off games this season.

Zhejiang, who ranked 8th but beat defending champions Shenbu in the quarterfinals, took a 70-56 lead with 3:30 minutes in the third quarter. Beijing, however, used a 23-7 to control the game and never released.

Zhang Yu contribued 21 points, including 4 of 7 3-points, for Jinyu, which took third place in 2005.

Both Beijing and Zhejiang were the first time to be the finalists in the 11-year league, where Bayi took five titles, Liaoning four and Shenbu one.
