Chinese stocks rise at midday Wednesday

Chinese stocks closed higher for the morning break Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.45 percent to finish at 2,392.16.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.27 percent to close at 9,819.26.
