Drivers were warned to pay attention to signs of trouble while driving, after some 900 car fires occurred in Shanghai last year, an undisclosed number of which were preventable, local authorities said Wednesday.
Drivers are advised to stop their car immediately, if gas or smoke is smelled, and put out fires without opening the hood of the car.
