"The government must increase support to fishermen, especially by raising subsidies for their losses resulting from foreign disturbance and seizures in the Nansha area."

Lu Huosheng, professor from Guangdong Ocean University,

on a recent survey showing that over 95 percent of licensed Chinese fishing boats have withdrawn from Nansha Islands and surrounding waters because of the harassment of foreign gunboats, quoted by Yangcheng Evening News yesterday.



"It is a matter of our reputation and our degree. I have cancelled my studies at Dickinson State University." 

Huang Zhongqiang, a former student at Dickinson State University,

on the university's fake diploma scandal, quoted by the China Youth Daily yesterday.
