At least 1 Chinese national injured in Argentina train crash

At least one Chinese national was injured in a rush hour train crash that had killed 49 people and injured more than 600 in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Embassy.

One Chinese passport holder and two others, who were either Chinese nationals or ethnic Chinese, sustained non life-threatening injuries, said the embassy.

The Chinese national, in his twenties, was hospitalized while the two others had been discharged from hospital.

The packed commuter train crashed onto station buffers at around 8:30 am local time (1130 GMT). It was Argentina's worst railway accident in three decades.
