A man who killed three people on the road in Shanghai earlier this month while driving severely under the influence has been charged with endangering public safety, prosecutors for Pudong New Area, said Thursday.
The man, surnamed Huang, had a blood-alcohol level nearly three times that of the limit for drunk driving.
He ran a taxi driver over before crashing into another vehicle, causing a leak in the gas tank and resulting in a car fire - two people who were in the car died.
Another two people were injured in the incident.
