Li Na renews resort deal

James Packer, chairman of Crown Resorts, announced Monday that the company will renew a major sponsorship agreement with Li Na, China's biggest tennis star, for a further two years.

According to the agreement, Crown Resorts will sponsor Li to represent its properties in cities including Melbourne, Perth, Macao, London and Manila, in a bid to promote the global luxury tourism brand.

Crown is one of Australia's largest resort and entertainment groups, with a global market capitalization of about $8.5 billion.

The company said that more than $1 billion of Crown's total revenue of $2.8 billion in the 2012 fiscal year are from international visitors and the majority of these visitors are from China.
