Used car dealers explore new markets

Facing policy restrictions, Beijing's second-hand car dealers are turning their attention to markets outside the capital. After the municipal government announced the curbing measures, a number of used car dealers started to explore opportunities in Hebei and Heilongjiang provinces and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Beijing's second-hand cars are extremely popular among consumers in those areas, thanks to better maintenance. Industry insiders estimate there will be an increasing number of used cars sold outside Beijing. But they also say prices are likely to fall compared with previous years.
