China shares close higher Friday

Shares in the Chinese mainland closed higher Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down by 9.17 points or 0.33 percent to close at 2,827.33.

The Shenzhen Component Index dipped by 121.98 points or 1.00 percent to close at 12,292.49.
