Niger honors Chinese ambassador

Nigerien Foreign Minister Aichatou Mindaoudou has honored Chinese Ambassador to Niger Chen Gonglai at the end of his mission.

Chen was elevated to the grade of Commander of Order of Merit of Niger on Tuesday for the contribution to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

While bestowing this honor to the outgoing Chinese envoy, Mindaoudou expressed confidence in excellent bilateral relations in the future.

She said a new momentum will be given to the African-Sino cooperation during the fourth ministerial conference to be held in Egypt after its initiation at the 2006 China-Africa summit.
