There are more than 420,000 people with the name Guoqing (National Day celebrations) and over 98,000 people named Jianguo (founding of the New China), according to statistics released by the Ministry of Public Security Wednesday, the Xinhua News Agency reported.

There are also 1,300,527 people named Jianhua (founding of the New China), of whom 387,467 are female.

The statistics show that 101,600 people born on October 1.

Over 80,000 Guoqings were born in the 1960s and 1970s, and 29,782 were born after the year 2000.
