Party chief investigated

Yu Weiliang, a former Party chief in Guangdong Province, was being investigated on suspicion of violating disciplines, the local Party authority said.

Yu, 49, former secretary of the Longgang District Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the booming city of Shenzhen, had been removed from his Party posts, the Organization Department of the CPC Shenzhen City Committee said Saturday.

The department did not elaborate what disciplines Yu violated.
