Destinations of choice

Since the year 2000, Thailand, Russia and other neighboring countries have become the top destinations for corrupt officials seeking refuge due to the low cost of living. Other corrupt officials chose to live simply in Africa or Latin America for their laws.

In contrast, Western countries, especially countries with many immigrants, have been the favorite destinations for high-level corrupt officials, including the United States, Australia and the Netherlands.
