Major telecoms carrier China Unicom denied on Wednesday that its mixed-ownership reform plan had been approved.
The clarification was published on the website of the Hong Kong stock exchange after media reports that the reform had been implemented. The reports said three Chinese technology giants - Baidu Inc, Alibaba Group Holding and Tencent Holdings - would take part in the reform.
The company's A shares have increased about 63 percent since the rumor emerged on October 10.
