A bite of B&R: Uzbek plov

Plov, also known as pilaf, a traditional fried rice dish containing carrot, lamb and eggs, is a popular national dish in Uzbekistan. 

The dish can be adjusted to suit almost any occasion, with wedding plov and palace plov two such examples. There are also a number of regional varieties of plov, including Tashkent plov, Bukhara plov and Samarkand plov.
