"A snake!"

So shouted a woman surnamed Yu who lives in a residential compound in Changping district. Yu saw a snake about four-meters long and as wide as a bowl staring at her pet guinea pig in her living room. Scared by it, she almost fainted and quickly closed the balcony door to call both the police and the residents' committee. To prevent the snake from hurting people, the committee called the Beijing Wildlife Conservation Association for help. Professionals from the association lured the snake into a bucket. The snake, which is a boa, was raised along with another one by a family who rented an apartment in the same building. They are national protected animals and were taken away by the staff from the association. (Source: The Beijing Morning Post)
