10,000 - the amount of money in yuan ($1,471) that will be awarded to citizens who could provide clues about a swan which went missing from the campus of Party School of the Central Committee of CPC in Haidian district. The swan, which was born two months ago, was reported to be stolen early in June. Since the area it lived in has no surveillance cameras installed, there were no clues available. The swan lived with its parents and three other small swans in the Lüeyan Lake on campus before it was stolen. The school has released a notice online saying that they will not hold the thief responsible if he or she could return the swan.

73 - the average concentration of PM2.5 (microgram per cubic meter) in Beijing last year. According to the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, the air quality in Beijing has kept improving over recent years. From 2013 to 2016, the annual average concentration of PM2.5 in the city is respectively 89.5, 85.9, 80.6 and 73 micrograms per cubic meter. The concentration has a decrease of 23.7 percent in 2016, compared with that of 2012.

4 - the number of suspects that were detained for stealing from bus passengers in Daxing district. Since May, local police have started to receive calls from residents saying that their cell phones, wallets and other belongings were stolen when taking buses. The police targeted three suspects on June 2 who attempted to steal from passengers on Bus 820 and Bus 453 and another suspect who drove a black car to follow the buses. The police seized three cellphones from the car. The four people confessed that they only stole from passengers who took buses to go to work at rush hours.

122 - the number of drug cases that were closed by Shijingshan District People's Court between January 1, 2014 and May 30, 2017. It showed that drug users involved in such cases are younger and younger. Among the cases over the past two years dealt with by the court, more than 60 percent of the drug users are the 1980s and 1990s generations. Most of the drug users are not well educated or hold stable jobs. But it also showed that well-educated people and professional working staff are also involved in drug cases. Since 2014, the court has dealt with cases in which drug users are employees from State-owned companies.
