"The meat 'fever' that begins in autumn started to hit shops over the weekend."


So said Lu Jianwei, manager of Kaorouji, a barbecue restaurant located at Houhai Lake, Xicheng district. Many of the restaurants serving grilled meats in Beijing sold about 30 percent more meat than usual. Monday marked the start of autumn or Liqiu on the Chinese lunar calendar.
