"I saw a man climb out from his car's sunroof."

Limited parking has always been a big headache for citizens living in Shanghai's old residential quarters. One area in Jing'an district plans to use external parking lots to solve this problem, Shanghai Morning Post reported Wednesday. A resident surnamed Zhu said he must rush home soon as he gets off work at 5 pm in order to park his car. He complained that the parking spots are so narrow sometimes he can not get out of his car. Local authorities said they will negotiate with surrounding office buildings to provide nighttime parking for residents. Construction of a large-scaled underground lot in Jing'an is expected to be started before 2020.
