Shopping app buyer beware

Young people love shopping apps for their convenience and competitive prices. The shared user experience can also exert a decisive influence on customers hesitant to buy. One authentic positive user experience can stimulate hot sales, prompting companies to pay people to write positive reviews. Reports now suggest that some such reviews have been written without the paid author ever even consuming the products. Worse still, some reviews lack a clear explanation of the real contents and dangers involved in consuming a product. Such reviews mislead and harm the buyer. Regulations are long overdue. Meanwhile to reduce their own risk, online buyers should be more careful about trusting in user reviews.
