A fugitive returned to China and turned herself in to authorities Sunday after six years on the run, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said.

Wang Linjuan worked as a manager's assistant at Guangdong Postal Express & Logistics Co., Ltd. in the southern city of Zhuhai before fleeing to Canada in December 2011.

The 37-year-old, who was subject to an Interpol Red Notice, was wanted on charges of embezzlement and ranked at number 95 on China's 100 most wanted fugitives list.

Wang is the 45th such person on the list to be brought to justice, according to the CCDI.

China launched its anti-graft operation "Sky Net" in 2015 to tackle corruption, track down overseas suspects and bust underground banks.

The campaign is a joint effort between central government, the Communist Party of China, the People's Bank of China and diplomatic services.
