Stick to denuclearization of Korean Peninsula by peaceful means: FM

China supports a peaceful resolution to the North Korea issue and believes that it is incorrect to say China has not been doing enough, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian, China's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

Wang, who had met with the French minister on the sidelines of the United Nations  General Assembly meeting the previous day, said that China is firmly opposed to North Korea's nuclear weapons research and sticks to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula through peaceful means. He and that China will fulfill its international obligations in carrying forward UN resolutions on North Korea.

A foreign ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said Wednesday in Beijing that the situation on the peninsula is complicated and that all parties really need to be prudent in fully implementing the UN Security Council resolutions and in creating favorable conditions for bringing the issue back to the negotiating table.
