Islamic Hamas movement's chief Ismail Haneya vowed on Monday that his movement intends to turn the internal Palestinian reconciliation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas into tangible reality.

Haneya's remarks were made during a meeting between a group of top Hamas leaders and the UN Special Coordinator Nikolay Mladenov, who arrived earlier to the Gaza Strip, at Hamas headquarters in Gaza City.

"Hamas is serious to achieve reconciliation and will carry on until it turns into tangible reality that everyone touches," Haneya told Mladenov, adding "it's an introduction to debate all big political issues and achieve our people's goals."

Besides Haneya, Gaza Hamas chief Yehya Sinwar and two other top Hamas leaders, Nizar Awadallah and Salah el-Bardaweel, also attended the meeting with Mladenov.

Hamas leaders briefed the global official on the details of the dialogue they held in Cairo with the Egyptian officials for 11 days and their final declaration of dissolving the ruling committee Hamas formed to run Gaza daily affairs.

Haneya expressed to Mladenov Hamas's appreciation to his supportive position to the internal Palestinian reconciliation.

Mladenov told Hamas leaders that he praised Hamas declaration which is a step in the right direction.

"All the international parties that I met in New York welcomed Hamas statement on dissolving the committee," Mladenov told Haneya and other Hamas delegation members.

Meanwhile, Sinwar told to Mladenov that Hamas will provide all possible facilities to succeed the visit of the consensus government ministers to the Gaza Strip next Monday on all levels.

He stressed that Hamas decision "is to succeed the Egyptian efforts, regain the unity of our people and end the status of internal division," adding "we will exert every possible efforts in this respect."
