Once China's most wanted fugitive, Yang Xiuzhu was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment by a local court on Friday for embezzlement and accepting bribes, the Xinhua News Agency reported. The former vice mayor of Wenzhou, an industrial city in East China's Zhejiang Province, Yang was targeted by a China-backed 2015 Interpol "red notice" after topping the list of the nation's 100 most-wanted fugitives in 2015.
