China's booming sharing economy has huge potential, and bike-sharing is just the start of the trend, Dai Wei, founder of bike-sharing start-up ofo, said at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation's CEO Summit in Da Nang, Vietnam on Thursday.

"In the next 20 to 30 years, more and more sharing-economy entities will appear and have more positive impact on our lives," Dai was quoted as saying in a statement sent to the Global Times on Thursday.

Founded in 2014, ofo plans to have services in 200 cities in 20 countries and regions as of the end of 2017.

Daily rides offered by ofo has exceeded 32 million with its fleet of 10 million bikes so far, according to the statement.
