Bally and Tang Yan launch exclusively designed Suzy bag

Swiss luxury brand Bally's free-spirited Suzy bag received a very sweet makeover this January with creative direction from the brand's first-ever Asia-Pacific spokesperson, Tang Yan.

The iconic calf leather bag comes in light green, light blue and light rose, inspired by the three flavors that make up Tang's favorite sweet treat, macaroons.

Complete with an adjustable leather shoulder strap and a distinct B-Turn lock closure in gold, this exciting take on the Suzy bag also comes with three candy stickers: a lollipop, a bonbon, and a set of stars inspired by the nickname Tang's fans have given her, Candy. Each sticker is made from leather and can be applied to the bag to add a more personal touch.

"I am very excited to be working on my first handbag collection with a brand that I really admire. I want to thank Frédéric de Narp and his very talented team for the opportunity," Tang said.

Customers can keep an eye on Bally's official WeChat account from January 18 for their chance to buy the exclusive bag from Bally's digital pop-up shop on January 22. Only 99 bags will be on sale.

The bag will be available at Bally.cn from January 22 and in retail stores from January 29. This design is exclusive to China. Bally was established in 1851, anchored in an exceptional heritage of shoemaking. Today, the brand offers unique designs across shoes, accessories and ready-to-wear items.

Bally's partnership with Tang was announced in June 2017 when she led the brand's Autumn Winter 17 campaign for the Asia-Pacific region. She will again be featured in company's Spring Summer 18 regional campaign later this month.

The collaboration has provided a prominent platform to continue to develop Bally's presence and build on its strong momentum within China. Bally currently has 38 retail stores on the Chinese mainland, and a new e-commerce website was launched to great reviews last year.
