"She said she was talking on the phone, which she was holding in her left hand. Unconsciously, she inserted the fingers on her right hand into the holes on the back of a chair. It wasn't until she finished talking that she realized she could not get her fingers out."

So said Li Haoran, who is a fireman in Dongcheng district, Beijing. Li said that the team received a phone call from a young woman, and the woman claimed that she was at the Yonghegong subway station and could not get her fingers out of the holes in the back of a chair. Upon arriving, Li and his teammates first tried lubricant but failed. Eventually, they had to cut the chair open to get her fingers out. Li said that they receive many calls from people who get their fingers stuck inside holes and that people need to be aware of the danger. (Source: Beijing Morning Post)
