套路

(tàolù)

A: I just got a text message from my kid. It said he needed money to apply for cram school and that he wanted me to transfer it to him.

(wǒ ɡānɡ ɡānɡ jiēdào wǒ háizi de duǎnxìn, shuō zài xuéxiào bào bǔxí bān xūyào qián, rànɡ wǒ ɡěitā bǎ qián dǎ ɡuòqù.)

B: You should call and confirm this. It could be a scam text.

(nǐ zuìhǎo dǎ ɡè diànhuà ɡēn háizi quèrèn yíxià ba, shuō búdìnɡ shì zhàpiàn duǎnxìn.)

A: The tone of the text message sounds just like my kid, though. And it had his name too. It couldn't be fake, could it?

B: A lot of scam routines today are pretty involved! Hurry up and confirm it was him.
