UAE condemns deadly suicide bombing at Pakistan's election rally

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday condemned the suicide bomb attack which killed at least 128 people at an election rally in Pakistan, UAE's state news agency WAM reported.

The UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi expressed in a statement the country's "condemnation and denunciation of the terror attack."

It reiterated the UAE's steadfast stance and "complete rejection to all forms of violence and terrorism targeting all without distinction."

The death toll of the suicide blast hitting a campaign rally in Mastung area of Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan Province on Friday has mounted to 128 till Saturday morning, officials said.

Confirming the death toll, provincial caretaker Home Minister Agha Umar Bungalzai said over 120 people were injured in the blast.

The ministry reaffirmed the UAE's solidarity with Pakistan in confronting terrorism and extremism, calling on the international community to unite in the face of this violent scourge that threatens the security and stability of nations across the world.

It extended the condolences of the UAE to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
