In order to ensure a stable market price during the first China International Import Expo (CIIE), Shanghai municipal government announced that it would temporarily control prices of hotels, some public parking lots, online car-hailing and taxi services from October 26 to November 14 in 2018 in Shanghai, thepaper.cn reported Wednesday.

For example, the prices of hotels and other accommodation providers with business licenses in Shanghai should be held below the maximum prices of rooms with a similar layout and service conditions during the period from October 1 to November 30 in 2017.

Additionally, newly opened hotels should regulate the maximum prices of all rooms online with that of hotels of the same level and location and also report these prices to the local administration of tourism.

The government also announced that the charging of parking lots in six districts cannot be higher than the previous charging standard before the announcement.

Those six districts include Qingpu, Minhang, Changning, Jiading, Putuo and Songjiang, which are near the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), where the CIIE will take place.
