China's e-commerce giant JD.com Inc (JD) announced Tuesday a strategic agreement to provide advanced e-commerce technology to textile and fashion producer Ruyi, read a press release JD sent to the Global Times.

JD's CEO Richard Liu Qiangdong attended the signing ceremony in Beijing and said that the company will utilize its edges in logistics, big data analysis and consumption finance to support its partner, domestic news site tech.sina.com reported.

Liu was arrested in the US on suspicion of sexual misconduct on Friday (US time) and was released on Saturday before returning to China, according to media reports.

"He [Liu] has been released without any charges and without requirement for bail. Liu has returned to work in China," said a statement that JD sent to the Global Times on Monday.

JD's shares tumbled over 6 percent as the US stock market started trading on Tuesday.
