Beijing contemporary art expo closes

After four days, the first Beijing Contemporary Expo successfully drew to a close. As an important event to allow people to get a closer look at the latest forms of contemporary art from artists worldwide, the exhibition was created in collaboration with galleries, art collectors, media and companies with an aim to build a combined platform for the development of Chinese art.

The exhibition consisted of five different sections: story, value, future, energy, and cadillac wonder. In the story section, the Beijing Contemporary Expo invited 60 artists to showcase their artwork in the 1,500-square-meter exhibiting space. The value and fture section was an assembly of 32 galleries from different countries and regions including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, Taiwan, US, Japan and South Korea. Using cameras and other visual and digital devises, audience were able to feel the art in different approaches and fashions.

The exhibition also drew the particiaption of some celebrities in the entertainment industry including Xie Na, Han Geng and Guan Xiaotong. Some private belongings of the celebrities were sold at an auction during the exhibition, and the money from the auction is to be used for supporting children's art training in poor regions.
