The Qinglong Cultural Innovation Community, a new China-Denmark cooperation project, opened in Beijing's Dongcheng district on Wednesday as part of the ongoing Beijing Design Week. The key project between Beijing and Copenhagen aims to boost innovation and the rejuvenation of the capital's old city area. According to Wang Ning, vice mayor of Beijing, the two cities communicated and cooperated on a continual basis to bring this innovative community project to fruition. He noted that Beijing and Copenhagen are also currently planning the construction of a Sino-Denmark Innovation Center in the Chinese capital.

Demonstrating the importance of the community project, on Wednesday Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark visited an exhibition at Beijing's 751 D-Park introducing the project.

As the guest city of this year's Beijing Design Week, Copenhagen is also hosting a series of exhibitions and forums with the theme Living is Giving in Beijing.
