Generation Z (Gen Z) has always been labeled as spoilt. But that may be far from the truth. According to a report by Qianjiang Evening News Thursday, a young girl surnamed Liu, born in 1998 and now studying at a university in Hangzhou, has successfully started her own business. Liu has been writing journals and decorating them with colorful stickers and exquisite drawings for years. By posting her journaling creativity on China's Weibo every day, Liu has won tens of thousands of fans, turning her hobby into a career. Now, she earns 80,000 yuan ($11,541) a month. She has joined hands with a big cultural firm and set up her own company with eight part-time employees. Born in 1995 or later, Gen Z-ers like Liu are more familiar with the internet. They are creative and more open-minded. Quite a few of them are also interested in business startups, and several of them have already been successful, breaking the stereotype and contributing to the country's economy.
