Have you ever seen children throw a fit and cry incessantly on trains? The intensity of their wails are only rivaled by the trundling noise the train makes while switching tracks. As China's Spring Festival travel rush (or "chunyun") kicked off on Monday, people are asking on Weibo: "Should trains have children's compartments?" Data shows that 91.5 percent people chose "yes" in the vote. Huang Xin, director of China Railway Corporation's Transportation Service Department, said the idea is very inspiring, according to China National Radio. While most people support the idea, the key still lies with parents. Although separating children and other child-free adults during the trip will help passengers without kids enjoy a quieter environment, it is not a permanent solution. Have you wondered about the condition inside the kids' compartment and what will become of it after the journey ends? Parents still need to teach their children to behave themselves in public. After all, there won't be separate areas for children on bus or on airplanes. We welcome such creative suggestions for public transportation, but more importantly, all passengers need to work together to make travel comfortable.
