Beijing's first "anger room," which allows people to release their stress by smashing beer bottles, TVs or even mannequins, has proved a smash with customers.

The anger room is located in Beijing's 798 art district, and has attracted more than 600 participants in one month, The Beijing News reported on Saturday.

Tickets are 158 yuan ($24) per person and 298 yuan for a couple, and a session lasts 30 minutes.

The store provides customers protective clothing, helmets, gloves, earplugs, Polaroid photos, a basket of 50 beer bottles and a baseball bat.

Many customers said that they were attracted by the store's creative way of allowing them to reduce stress.

Some people said that it really did help them relieve their pressure.

But others thought the service was "too violent."

"The anger room shows people's pursuit of mental health is increasing, and once they release their negative emotions there, they are more likely to be positive in their daily lives," Wu Boxin, a psychologist from the People's Public Security University of China, told the Global Times on Sunday.
