A 12,000-word article in the latest issue was published on the flagship magazine of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Sunday, receiving strong public response regarding the ongoing trade war between China and the US.  

Qiushi journal, which is under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), published the article on Saturday.

 Titled "Recognizing the essence, clarifying the trend and fighting till the end," the article centers on 10 questions that need to be further clarified in the ongoing trade friction between China and the US.

The article pointed out that China believes in truth, and the truth becomes clearer by debating it. Ever since the Trump government started the trade war, the differences between the two countries have become clear. 

China is always seeking a win-win game while the US government wants a zero-sum game; China appeals for cooperation and openness while the US wants opposition and closed doors; China calls for competition while the US seeks monopoly. The US follows the old path of hegemony while China is committed to building a shared future for mankind, said the article.

"China will never fear any threat or oppression from the escalated economic and trade friction caused by the US… people should not underestimate the iron will of the Chinese people and their strong resilience in a protracted war," the article said.  

The article has aroused patriotism among many Chinese people, who believe that unilateralism and trade bullying by the US will fail.

"We are always focusing on our own business, but we will never compromise on the matter of principle," said a Weibo user.

"I am proud to be Chinese. We are not afraid of clarifying the truth," said another.
