"Everyone gets down! Danger! Mines!" a person in South China's Guangdong Province yelled in a subway car crowed with unsuspecting passengers who didn't know it was a false alarm raised by bloggers who were making a video.

The police and passengers were not amused and the bloggers could face five years in prison.

The people's procuratorate in Futian district approved the arrest Monday of the five people for fabricating false terror information, Shenzhen people's procuratorate announced on its WeChat.

One of those charged, surnamed Chen, on May 17 lay down on the subway immediately after his partner Wu yelled the danger warning. Two other partners also put on a performance to attract passengers' attention. The orchestrated emergency was recorded by another partner surnamed Chen.

The train then stopped for four minutes as passengers panicked, and other trains were delayed.

The suspects admitted that they shot the video in order to gain popularity online.
