A father in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality created a special band that included percussionists playing different sized bowls and another on washbasins as he sang happy birthday to his six-year-old daughter, at a local mall.

A video posted Monday by The Beijing News shows shoppers surrounding the band playing on a platform that was adorned with balloons.

The father, who goes by the name Yingge, sang to his daughter who is standing beside the band before she timidly walks up and gives her dad a hug and kiss, video shows.

Yingge said he surprised his daughter on her birthday because she loves music and he wanted to make up for the time he has to spend away from home because of his job.
