Watermelon museum without a real watermelon opens in Beijing

 Watermelon is China's favorite fruit in the summer time. To express the nation's love of the fruit, a special museum, in dedicated to watermelon opened in Beijing.

The Chinese Watermelon Museum is located in Panggezhuang town, Daxing district, covering an area of 22,000 square meters and its main building has two floors.

The museum's overall exterior is a giant flying watermelon with two wings, and it has two exhibition halls where many different models of watermelons are displayed.

The museum introduces the history of Chinese watermelons including the origins and development of planting technologies.

Pictures and stories of several outstanding experts in planting watermelons are displayed in the museum to teach visitors how to cultivate high-quality watermelons.

However, visitors will not find any real watermelons. This watermelon museum is said to be unique with nothing to match in the world.
