Jordan has appointed an ambassador to Qatar, the official gazette said Tuesday.

The new Jordanian ambassador to Qatar was Zeid Al Louzi, according to a royal decree issued earlier in the day.

In June 2017, Jordan withdrew its ambassador to Qatar to downgrade the diplomatic representation between the two countries, days after Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain severed all ties with Qatar.
