A hairstylist is making a name for himself not only with his scissors but his artistic ability with hair that lands on the floor.

Wang Jianfeng, who has almost a complete sleeve of tattoos on his right arm, manipulates the different colored locks which he has shorn from his customers into an image that would last only a few minutes before being swept off the floor.

He also teaches hairstyling in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province and his students asked him to make an art piece that was more permanent.

A video posted by Btime on Wednesday shows Wang dropping bits of hair on a canvas covered in glue to create a replica of Van Gogh's famous self-portrait.

"I spent one to two hours to draw the portrait…I think it looks like an oil painting," Wang said, who has already sold the picture.

Wang is also known for his artistic touch in creating designs on his clients' head.

Netizens gave him thumbs-up. Some said they wanted to have their hair cut by Wang.
