A loud bang was heard near the BTS Chong Nonsi station downtown Bangkok, Thailand on Friday Morning, and two people got injured, local media reported.

According to local media JS100, the incident happened at about 9:17 a.m. local time in front of Mahanakhon building, the tallest building in Bangkok.

A window of the shielding barrier in the station cracked.

Police has blocked the area. Some exits of the station are closed for safety reasons.

Thai media said two are injured by the "explosion" near the station while the "explosion" also happened near the government compound in northern Bangkok and another spot in the city.
