A zoo in Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province, is offering a special service to help ensure marriages last: Couples married on China's Valentine's Day can choose either tigers, bears or even pandas to guard their marriage certificates.

"Three beasts escort your love, so that your spouse will never dare to divorce at will," Changzhou Yancheng Zoo said.

"Instead of giving the marriage certificate directly to the beast, we put the marriage certificate in the safe," the zoo manager told The Paper. "We ensure that the certificate will be well preserved and can be retrieved at any time."

A video posted on Sohu news showed curious tigers fiddling with the safe. The video also features a fierce-looking tiger along with the line: Do you still want a divorce?

The topic led to heated discussion among netizens. Some believe that this was a gimmick that interfered with the freedom of divorce, while others worry that this behavior may harm animals.
