A woman in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan Province seems to have strengthened the stereotypical image of the Chinese tiger mom after requiring her son to practice gymnastics by standing on his head on a moving subway train.

A video posted by the blogger "Zhi Bo Yun Nan" on Sina Weibo on Monday shows the boy with his head on the floor and his legs in the air while using the door of the subway for balance as his mom sits next to him.

The post said the boy also did chin-ups and practiced other gymnastic moves on the moving subway until they got off. His mom told him to keep doing the exercises until the train arrived at their destination, according to the report.

The video got a lot of attention on the internet and many questioned the "tiger mom's" approach to educating her son.

"I don't think it's appropriate to do that on the subway as the sign on the door clearly says 'No leaning,'" wrote a netizen, adding that the boy could easily be injured if the train had to make a sudden stop.

"I think it is totally fine to do that on the subway as long as he doesn't bother others," said another.
